This week we are beginning chapter 3. Here we will learn about our class schedules, time, and being able to describe our classes and friends.

What are we doing each day?

Monday Oct 12: We are learning how to tell time in Spanish. We will take notes, then work in the textbook on page85 and do #10 and 11. A handout about time will also be given and we will do the practice activities on the back. Homework is workbook p. 20 #6-7.

Tuesday Oct 13: We will continue to work on time. We will work from textbook page 86. We will practice with activities #12, 13 and 14. We will hand in our work from #14. Homework is to study how to write time for a quiz tomorrow.

Wednesday Oct 14: We will take a quiz on time. The Chapter 3 vocabulary sheet will then be handed out. We will practice our classes on page 83 in the textbook. We will also read all the side notes. One focus is on the word THE in Spanish. There are four versions of it based on if the noun is masculine, feminine, singular or plural. Example: el libro becomes los libros, and la regla becomes las reglas. We will work on activities #6 and 7 for practice. Homework is workbook p. 18 #1-2 and p. 19 #3-5.

Thursday Oct 15: We will correct the homework and then continue our practice on p. 84 #8 and by reading a culture section on p. 87. Homework is to review all vocabulary words in primer paso for a quiz on Monday.

Friday Oct 16: The students will complete a review packet in class and we will then grade it for correctness. Their homework is to review vocabulary and time for a quiz on Monday.
